My Mum and Ann remember happy times with Florence both here and in Australia, remembering how welcome she made them both.
Florence, Ann and mum travelled around New South Wales with Florence in her car. Thelma and Louise plus one. She recalled the time in Mooree when they had mice in their suitcases because the corn had recently been cut. Florence happily pointed out that where mice were snakes weren’t far behind, typical Australian winding up the poms.

She also remembered them all being frightened in the bush by some lads in a jeep drinking beer, made worse by the fact they had watched a scary film the night before involving women being stopped in their cars by ne’er do wells.

They also visited Tagalooma, a beautiful island, Florence had fallen over on the boat, she was more worried about the bottle of gin in her bag, that she shouldn’t have had with her. Thankfully it didn’t break.
